We have never been more proud to represent Erie Insurance Company than we are now. Erie has helped our customers in tremendous ways throughout this pandemic and while we’ve been sharing bits and pieces of their generosity on social media, we thought we’d put it all together here for our customers. (and potential customers, too!)
1- Dividend payouts. Erie has announced $200 million in dividend payouts to personal and commercial auto insurance customers. What does that mean for our customers? They’ll be receiving a check for 30% of two months of their annual premium in the month of May!
2- Rate Reductions. As a long term solution, Erie is giving rate reductions to personal and commercial auto customers of 5% on their next renewal! (this is expected to be approved and begin on renewals sometime this summer)
3- Personal payment assistance. Each Customer’s situation is unique and Erie is offering flexibility to Customers facing financial hardship. ERIE Agents and ERIE’s Customer Care team have helped thousands of Customers with delaying payments, adjusting installments, changing pay plans and waiving penalties and fees.
4- Adjusting coverage. As agents, we are helping our customers who are driving less by amending their rate classes from work to pleasure, reducing miles driven and offering layup options. This is a temporary change, but helps to lower premiums as well.
5- Making Life Insurance Attainable.
For a limited time, Erie Family Life is offering applicants a path to life insurance coverage without the requirement of a paramedical exam. The waiver provides ERIE Customers the ability to obtain life insurance without in-person interaction for the safety of our customers and employees. The offer is available for Customers up to age 55 and policy face amounts up to $500,000.
6-Enhancements to ErieSecure Home® Policies for Gift Card Reimbursement Coverage
In order to support local businesses in your communities, ERIE is adding gift card and gift certificate reimbursement coverage to ErieSecure Home® policies. The additional feature, included at no additional cost, will reimburse Customers for remaining balances on gift cards that can no longer be used at local businesses due to business closure. This coverage is not a temporary enhancement. It will become part of ERIE’s base ErieSecure Home policies. So far, nine states have approved the coverage.
7-Giving back to our local communities. Erie Insurance is giving each of its agencies $1,000 to give back into our communities how we choose! Rexroad Insurance Agency was able to support TEN LOCAL BUSINESSES by purchasing gift cards and we are hosting a BIG giveaway for our community! (details on Facebook on Monday, May 4th).
